This is a a quick and easy dish that my kids really love. If you like cottage cheese and ricotta cheese in your lasagna, then you can add it to the meat mixture here as well before stuffing it into the shells.
Cook jumbo shells according to packe directions and to your desired done-ness
Cook and crumble ground beef, drain, and add seasonings to your taste.
Mix the cheese together in a bowl and reserve two cups of cheese. Add remaining cheese to seasoned hamburger, cook on low until cheese is melted. Add 2/3 cup pasta sauce to seasoned, cheesy hamburger; mix until combined.
Using a 13x9 glass pan, add 1/3 cup past sauce to bottom of the pan to keep shells from sticking
Scoop 1-2 tbs seasoned hamburger into pasta shells and place into glass pan. This will usually make approximately 36 shells so I have to use an 8x8 pan as well as the 13x9 pan.
Once all the hamburger is filled into the shells, top stuffed shells with 2/3 cup sauce and shredded cheese
Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes until cheese is melted; you can turn on the broiler for about 5 minutes if you want to brown the tops.
This makes aproximately 36 shells; enough for 3 shells per person, unless you have hungry teen boys!
